My head is spinning! I am trying to book an all inclusive beach day at Costa Maya. We are going on Spring Break so I don't think I want to chance just "finding a cool place" like I've read on here (older threads) Has anyone gone here recently? What is the real cost of a cab? $20.00 each way or $3.00 there each person and $2.00 back? I've heard both quoted. And lastly, just to be clear, this resort is in the fishing village called Majahual? I see differing cab prices... Help!

We are sitting in Tampa right now ready to head out on our cruise tomorrow. We will be diving with Doug at Maya Palms on Wed.

I've talked to him extensively.

Their resort is NOT in the city but South. About a 20-minute taxi ride. The taxi is $20 each way for up to 4 riders. When you arrive at the resort they tell the driver to be back to pick you up at whatever time you need to depart to catch your ship. One REALLY cool thing they do is to tell the driver he's not getting paid for either trip until he get's you back to the cruise ship. It's a real incentive for him to get you to your ship on time.

I'll let you know what the diving was like next week if you like.

In the meantime, if you Google their outfit and call the 1-800 number, talk to them directly with any question that you might have.

how was the diving in Costa Maya? Was it worth it? What did you pay? Looks like they get you big time for the equipment?
