Snorkeling & baths

I highly recommend you go with a boat tour and not use the arrival by land way to the Baths if you want to snorkel. I think getting to the snorkeling area from the beach is way too precarious - there are lots of rocks and the waves are pretty strong. It is doable, but I think the safer way, and quicker as the good snorkeling is a ways from the beach, is if you go by boat. So if the tour says you take a boat to VG and then a bus or motorcoach to the Baths area, skip it.

I didn't do Patouche, but I heard it was good for this option.

Hi

Has anyone gone on the excursion to Norman Island for snorkeling? Celebrity if offering a 3hr tour to the Caves or the Indians snorkeling sites and then a secondary location for a total of 1.5 hr of snorkeling. Would appreciate any comments/experiences on this tour. Thanks !
