WooWooGirl Posted January 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2010 Checking on prices of flight into Mobile, they are running over $500! Crazy...I know departing from Galveston we flew into somewhere else and drove down so I was wondering if you can fly into a bigger airport near Mobile and drive down that may save some $$?? April-in-NC Posted January 4, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2010 I have a friend who lives in Mobile and I have to hunt for good prices when I fly down to visit. There are a few airports you can fly into depending on your tolerance for driving. Gulfport, MI is about an hour from Mobile. New Orleans, LA is about 2 hours from Mobile. Pensacola, FL is about 2 hours (maybe 1 1/2) hours from Mobile.

Mrs. Connie Posted January 10, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2010 PNS is much cheaper, and is just a little over an hour from the cruise terminal via I-10. Best to you!
palaeologus Posted January 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Part of why PNS is cheaper is because AirTran serves PNS but not MOB. Book soon! The airlines are sticking it to us in higher bag fees again!
