Car rental question

OK, thanks to you nice folks, I went to mousesavers and got a nice code for a car rental. To rent a car at the Orlando airport, drive it to the Port, returning it the next day (we fly down the night before our cruise), its a grand total of 47.00. Nice. Going BACK from the port to Orlando, its 82.00? Whats that about? Is it because Im returning it to an airport? Is it because its on a Thursday vs a weekend? Anything Im doing wrong to not get as good a rate on the way back?:(

It always seems that the rate back to the airport is higher than going down to the port. I'm not sure why.

 

Your rate seems about right. We've had anywhere from $57.00 to about $75.00.

 

A tip. Make sure you print out your ressies and take them with you. Sometimes they play around and tell you you booked a higher rate. Just have the papers to prove it.

Thanks for the tip, I will print them, thats a good idea. Im going to make a ressie for the return trip, but keep checking rates and looking for codes.

That's a good idea!..print all your ressies and check your rates and codes so that they will not take advantage of you!...

Print them and remember to recheck prices as often as possible...then if the rate drops simply book a new ressie and then cancel the old one. I've done this numerous times without a problem!
