Dennislee2 Posted January 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Okay fellow cruisers... I haven't been on a cruise since the Miracle, almost 4 years ago. It's our 20th anniversary in 2011 and looks to be at least 4 rooms, group of 12 already. Pretty sure we are doing the Carnival Freedom, January 1st sailing to the Eastern Caribbean. Few questions: Pros/Cons to booking already for a cruise almost 12 months away? Use a travel agent or just do online? Wasn't sure of the best way to get deals anymore. Thanks and good to be back on Cruise Critic planning another cruise!
AAAAmerican Posted January 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Welcome back and may your Ship-Trip be well with Calm Blue Seas and low Fuel Costs. 4 Cabins and 12 People..*YIKES* That sounds a wee bit tight.. Depending on your other needs are also a question. As always Best Cost basis is usually attained by the Largest Volumes Dealers. (( But not always the Best Services )) If you do use a Agency/Agent make sure they have a MIN. of ASTA membership. Thats a great group which does require a Large ( 1/2 ) Million US Dollar BOND to be put up from the TA. Then you have at least faith they are not going to be gone the next week etc... By booking early with a dozen passengers now is well. In providing your Tables and placements in the same table(s0 and times together ( if it is what you and everyone want ) Okay fellow cruisers... Dennislee2 Posted January 8, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted January 8, 2010 4 Cabins and 12 People..*YIKES* That sounds a wee bit tight.. Thanks for the advice. 3 of those 12 are children, hope that sounds more manageable. Never cruised with kids before, so we'll be doing some research on that one as well. I figured if we were going to go, might as well pick the cabins we want. Thinking about an aft cabin this time. Thanks again,
Colorado Kat Posted January 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2010 Ooh - that sounds nice! Try to get one of the ones with a larger balcony - maybe the aft wrap? You can have your own deck parties!
