Belize Scuba Diving

I will be on the Valor in May and wanted to scuba dive when I am in Belize. The price on the Valor is very high (carnival website says $169). I was hoping that price was wrong!!! Has anyone recently been diving in Belize and if so is that the going price.

try info@hammerheadwatersportsbelize. They offer the same dives, same type of boat and an island stop thrown in for a much better price.

The thing to keep in mind with Belize is the ship anchors about 8 miles off shore. We were on the Coral Princess in December and did a ship sponsored excursion and the dive boat picked us up directly from the cruise ship so we did not have to go into town first. They also dropped us off at the ship after the dives. From the ship it was about 45 minutes to a private island where the dive operator has a shop to gear everyone up and then another 45 minutes to the dive sites. If you go into town first then you have to add that extra water time in the tenders and in the dive boat to get to the sites. The dive shop we used was Hugh Parkey’s Belize Dive Connection.

Try Seasports Belize, they're right in town at Belize City. Nice boats, nice people. Dove with them a couple times already. US operators
