good snorkeling from beach

We have our own gear and are thinking about renting a car and just snorkeling from the beach. I am just not sure if we will be able to get good snorkeling on our own.

 

Tha other option we have checked into os through diving adventure for $25.00 pp we can take a boat to 3 shallow reefs- dzhul ha, paraiso, chancanaab or cardona. That incleds snacks and beer too.

 

I guess if we can find good snorkeling on our own I will do that but don't wanna be disappointed because we didn't know where to go.

 

We leave in 4 days!!!

dzhul ha and Chancannab park are accessible from the beach. The first time we went to Coz. we rented a car and went to both these places as well an a drive around the island it was very fun. While at dzhul ha a snorkel tour came by and dropped people off less than 50 yards from the shore.
