ChaylaT Posted January 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2010 We have balcony cabins booked on Vista deck for July. We are aft in rooms 9235 & 9231. How is the view of the Lanai? Does anyone have any comments on the view from a balcony cabin to the area below? I know we won't be able to sit on the balcony in our skivvies but how private are they? ANY comments would be appreciated. I haven't read much about this in the reviews. Thanks!!!:D

oceanseagle12 Posted January 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2010 You will see the Lanai when you look straight down. People on the Lanai will not be able to see you except for when you are standing at the rail.
Lizzzie35 Posted January 13, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2010 You should be ok.. If you stand up against the railing and look straight down you will see the lanai but you are definitely high enough that no one would be able to see you. We were on deck 8 (verandah) and when we stood right below our room on deck 5, we couldnt see ours. BTW, looking at the deck plans, 9235 & 9231 are Forward, not Aft and they seem far enough forward where the lanai tapers in at the front. http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/ships/carnival_dream/deckplan.aspx

*Mach* Posted January 13, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 13, 2010 The Vista Deck is nearly impossible to see from the Lanai Deck so I'd expect that you'll only be able to see the Lanai if you look straight down from your balcony. Here's a view from against the rail on the Lanai looking up... It's nearly impossible to see anything above the Upper Deck... not bad... :)
