Carnival Pride Medical Emergency - Full Speed to Port Canaveral

FYI: I am on board the Carnival Pride. It was just announced that due to a medical emergency with a guest, we are full speed enroute to Port Canaveral. ETA 11PM. Original ETA was 7AM tomorrow.

Cruise is not shortened tomorrow this is one of their regular ports of call.

 

I always feel bad when there is a medical emergency on board.

Not shortened at all. We are arriving early and the ship is going at top speed which means a lot of shaking, rocking, and rolling... :D Not too bad though. Some guests were wondering if it means we can get off the ship tonight when it docks or do we have to wait until the previously scheduled 7AM time. I guess time will tell.

I would be surprised if it sailed at full speed all the way to the port, just get close enough for a coast guard copter to get there then airlift the person.

 

Then sail around in circles till the morning when CBP will be there.
