arf2005 Posted January 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2010 Just received an email from a tour operator in Playa del Carmen that indicated MSC has docked in Cozumel each time instead of Playa del Carmen as indicated on the Western Caribbean itinerary. Can anyone verify this? If it's true it will sure make planning more difficult if you plan tours on your own.
TopSecretAdam Posted January 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2010 We were on the New Years Cruise (DEC 27th to Jan 3) We docked in Cozumel because the water was way too choppy to tender to shore. On our ferry ride from Cozumel to Playa Del Carmn for our excursion about 25% of the folks on board thew up from the waves rocking and rolling the ferries. So be aware, if you go to Cozumel and have to ferry to Playa to get your trip, it can be very, very messy and sick.
