How to arrange for transportation from port?

Hi:

 

Just inquiring...every cruise I have taken has ended with sheer chaos at the port terminal after the cruise. We are coming off of a large ship. Don't want to lose our ride from Port Everglades to Miami. If we arrange for a van to pick us up, how will they ever find us?

I would assume it's the same way a private car pick up does at the airport. They park the car, have a card with your name on it and wait for you outside the building exit.

Whenever we have left the terminal, there is confusion and chaos. Some may consider it organzied confusion and chaos but it is overwhelming to say the least. Is there a special 'pick up' area to meet private car hires?
