MnAsMom Posted January 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2010 :panyone put their child in this program bfore? any feedback would b greatly appreciated...im a little nervoug to put my daughter in this program givben that this will be my first time!!! tx!! Not on Oasis but on Mariner (during the Nick Cruise last summer). My 4 year old was nervous to go but once he spent a hour there he was hooked. He woke up in the mornings immediately asking if he could go to kids camp. He and my older son are begging to cruise again based on what a wonderful time they had in the kids programs! On the first night of your cruise they will have a meet and greet kinda thing. It is open to the children and their parents to look around, meet some of the other kids who will be in their age group, fill out paperwork etc. My little guy saw the big bin of trains and tracks and when he was telling me he didn't want to go to camp I reminded him of those trains... then he said he would try it out and they just so happened to be playing with trains when we dropped him off... he was thrilled. Once he went in he didn't want to come back out! the counselors they had on board were SO wonderful with the kids. It was all young ladies on our cruise and they were very tender and caring with the kids. They really tried to get the kids involved etc. When we went to drop our son off the first morning there was a little girl in there crying cause she wanted her mommy. They held her the entire time trying to comfort her etc till her mom returned for her. Give it a chance... hopefully your little one will love it and it will give you a chance to relax and enjoy yourself too (a little kid free time is really nice when you know your kiddo is having a good time). hooked-on-travel Posted January 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2010 Just back from Voyager and DD 4 y/o L-O-V-E-D it. We didn't send her all the time, but she was usually sad to leave. The night they had the Little People Birthday Party she was so excited she ate her dinner quickly and was the first kid up there.

If she isn't having a good time and wants you they will track you down!!!! I was amazed at how much my 4 year old loved it. He had never been in school or daycare. In fact he was totally against going to preschool etc. When we got home from our cruise we talked about how the kids program is kinda like school. He announced he had found his school and we would be living on the cruise! :)
