jasper63 Posted January 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2010 Looks like a very affordable and unique alternative to the dolphin programs. Has anyone tried this yet?
pammat Posted January 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2010 If there's any way to do the dolphins, do the dolphins. My daughters just did the Royal Swim in December (check their website, I got 30% off). We declined the Manatees for an additional $19 when we arrived (they offered), but then when they were finished with the swim, they were taken over to the manatees. They spent about 10 minutes in the water with them and said they were gross and had "stuff" growing on them. It was a "unique" experience, but they were glad we didn't pay $19 to do it. Just fyi, my girls are 16 and 13. Sorry I didn't have a more positive response!
The Scottish Kirks Posted January 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2010 I'd like to hear more about the Manatees too - they are not featured on the website ??
jasper63 Posted January 21, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted January 21, 2010 It's on the Dolphin Discovery web site you can Google. As of this past weekend they had an introductory offer for the Manatee Encounter of $39 which included admission to Chankanaab, which means the Manatee Encounter was $25 additional cost over the park admission of $14 after $2 coupon. The Scottish Kirks Posted January 21, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2010 Thanks Jasper - found the site - now further undecided what to do - torn betwen Chankanaab and some encounters with nature or justa chilled out day on Passion Island:confused:
caribbound Posted January 22, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2010 Where do you get the $2 coupon? My girls are doing the dolphin swim but I'm just watching/taking pictures so will have to pay to get in.
