Excursions - how best to book

Husband & I are going on the Thomson Dream in June (our first cruise) Is it possible and/or advisable to book excursions before we sail? I can't find much info about them on the web site. We booked the cruise over the phone.

Seems that they have not got that up and running yet, but it is easy once you are onboard as all details will be in your cabin so you just fill out the forms and hand them in :)

 

when in june are you going ,as we are going on the 29th june cannot wait ,,,

The latest Thomson cruise magazine which has just arrived, does mention that on-line booking prior to your cruise is due to be introduced shortly :)

Thanks. I will keep an eye on the web site. I have the brochure but they do not give prices etc. Going on 8th June for one week. Really looking forward to it. We are doing the Highlights cruise and would like to visit Pompei & do the Camp Nou tour in Barcelona

The prices are on the website but take some finding.

 

Go to Cruises, select Shore Excursions then select Ports of Call then Select a Port and each place is listed and you can view the excursions available and the prices.

Hi everyone

 

Just been reading this thread and had a look at the excursions for the Ottoman Treasures cruise. Does anyone know if the admission charges on the excursions are included in the price.:)

In a word... usually! There may be options - like camera permits, but admissions to the named places have always been included when we've been on.

Thanks David. That's good to know, looking at independent trips around Istanbul there doesn't seem to be a lot of difference in price with Thomsons unless we're missing something.
