Stayed here for 3 days/2 nights pre-cruise. Booked on Priceline for $100 per night plus tax. When we checked out they do charge you $15 which is really no big deal. It was really a nice hotel! We loved the pool area and beach. Nice clean sand and big waves. They like you to pay the upgrade for an oceanview room for $150. We decided not to do that since we were heading out on a cruise & would be seeing the ocean for 7 days. We ended up loving our city view room and loved the view. We could see the mountains. Happy to report we had NO roaches in our room. Someone had reported on trip advisor that they have roaches in their rooms. None to be found! Loved this hotel and would stay here again. We ate at Mi Casita for supper. Good Mofungo. Saw Metropal but didn't eat there. :)

DH and I are "locals" but we stayed there in early December because we had to use up two rewards nights. We also had the city view which we thought was quite nice, could see the planes coming in for landing and the bridge over the lagoon. Also, since the balconies are really just step-out, can't even put a chair there, I don't think it would be worth paying extra for the ocean view. The pool area is so nice, you'd probably want to spend the time there anyway!
