Rare 444cruiser Posted January 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2010 (I posted this on the Alaska board too, but I wanted to get some parent's opinion on my dilemma....) My husband, 7yo son, and I are going to cruise Alaska in August 2010. I was fairly confident in my choice of the NCL Pearl until I realized it does not have a covered pool. This may sound insignificant to most, but I fear my son will be bored on our sea days. On our past cruises on Disney he spent the majority of time in the pools. What else is there to do on sea days? I have a feeling that after a few days, looking at the amazing scenery won't be that amazing to him. The itineraries are very similar with the exception of Glacier Bay (NCL) and Tracy Arm (Princess). I have read that Glacier Bay is a must-see, but I don't know how incredible it will be if I have a miserable kid beside me KWIM? Any parents out there have any suggestions for me? What would you do? Thanks in advance.
