Best Beach for some R&R

All the beaches look beautiful, we will be on the Grand in March/April what is the best beach to visit and do they have full facilities like restaurants,bars, lounge chair rental etc.

 

A few I have seen are:

Accra Beach

Bottom Bay

Crane Beach

 

What is the cost for a taxi for 2, how far away from the Port ie where ever Princess docks etc.

Bottom bay is a pretty but tiny beach, nothing there, can't swim or even go in the sea unless you are a VERY strong & confident swimmer.

Crane Beach is accessed via the hotel at a redeemable entrance fee, a beautiful beach with chairs to rent from local vendors, enter the sea with caution here as well.

Accra /Rockley is probably your best bet, although a busy commercial beach there is everything you want for a quick visit to the island.

Taxis fare is not enough to worry about & I will try to find the taxi tariff.

The boatyard is awesome. They have chairs, umbrellas, bar, good food etc. Great beach to relax. They have activities like wave runners, banana boat rides, water trampolines too but a nice clean beach to hang out. The taxi ride is not long and inexpensive.

You mention the tax fare being inexpensive. Please advise what you paid - one way/round trip and for how many people? Was it easy to get a taxi from the boatyard back to the ship?

I wouldn't ask him to wait, taxis are plentiful.....this is a guess, BDS$20 each way. DO make sure you know which dollars they quote you in as US$ are worth TWICE as much, they make a fair old bit this way!!
