Hi, Just got my confirmend booking for the above cruise, can any previous passengers care to share their views or tips good and bad for a passenger on this ship.

Normally go on the QE2, but do have an open mind towards this cruise

We haven't cruised on this ship since MSC bought and refurbished it. When we traveled on it, it was the SS Atlantic, then owned by Premier Cruises. It sailed as the Big Red Boat. Loved it then and it has probably only gotten better. It had all stainless steel heads in the staterooms then, which were always sparkling clean. And we had plenty of room in our lower outside stateroom. They had a steel hatch over our porthole. But, in one port, we realized in the morning that they must have uncovered it during the night while we out dancing. Boy, were we embarrassed when we realized that the steps to disembark for that port went right past our porthole at eye level. Of course, as they passed, everyone was looking into our cabin. Luckily I yelled for my wife not to come out of the bathroom until she was propery attired. HA! Ha!

 

We often say that we will have to try the Melody to see how she has changed.
