I saw her yesterday as I was crossing the Dames Point Bridge on my way home from work. It was so good to see her back in Jax!! I can't wait till Sept.

I booked her again today for July. This will be our third time on her and our second doing the HMC/Nassau run. We loved it last summer and really wanted to do the same thing again. I am excited about the upgrades. I loved them on the Imagination so I am sure I will like them here.

Sailed on her on the Southern Caribbean route. Loved it.

..two thumbs up to Carnival. We just sailed on the Carnival Fantasy; now totally refurbished

and it is difficult to believe the ship is 20 years old; really nice.

 

..Adding balconies in the Fascination is another great move;

yes, the fascination needed more balconies. I can't quite tell if they will be wider (deeper) than the ones on the Veranda deck

We are sailing on the Fascination in 3 days and landed one of the new balcony's. We sailed the Fascination last July, so hopefully we will be able to see all the new things they have updated.

I went over to Funville forums today & there were 4 pretty bad reviews of the first cruise out of dry dock. Said some of the rooms had massive water damage, there were smells of mildew in the halls & rooms. Some pretty uninformed crew members. Wow I hated to read that!

 

Would you be worried? Surely they will work all the kinks out by September, right?

I also read those reviews on carnival's site. It's very disheartening to read the comments, especially about possible propulsion issues (the ship couldn't make Key West) which is a major factor as to why I switched from the Destiny to the Fascination. I hope that I haven't made a big mistake. :(

We are booked on the Fascination in June. This will be our 2nd cruise on this ship. We went last April to Key West and Nassau. In June we are going to HMC and Nassau. We have never been to HMC and are really excited about going there. Can't wait to see the refurbishments.
