hi Karon,

What is the ultimate tour & how did you know about it.

Deidre.

Hi Diedre, there is a little inclusion about it under Princess.com, cant remember where on the site exactly but it said it was available on all ships except 3....Hey Karon, what were some of the inclusions you got to keep at the end of it. The site just says `mementos`

3 days...........bring it on baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):)

The ultimate tour was fantastic.

I only heard about it from these boards as I said before it is not advertised.

They only take 12 people at a time and you just go to the pursers desk and sign on, the cost $175 goes on your cruise card.

We started off at Princess theatre and were greeeted by the CD (warren) and a couple of dancers. We went through the stage area where they get ready, the costume place and where they keep all their older gear. It is a tiny , tiny area. You are escorted by the ass CD. we also went into print room where they do all the patters etc and we recieved a personalised notepad.

Then to the developing photo lab, through the crew decks to the laundry (amazing place) and were given a thick princess robe each. onto the galley where we had a rest and cocktails and small cakes and chocolates. Our gift here was a chef's jacket.

Onto the medical centre and operating theatre. The area where they keep all the provisions and where they do all the recyclying. Into the ships engine control room, the funnel area and where the anchors are stored.

The highlight of course was going on the bridge. The second in control(??) showed us every knob and switch and what it did...we also met the captain and had more champagne and drinks and nibbles.

We had a group photo taken FOC from all the places, as well as print outs of various information. Every one was willing to answer our questions and we were always greeted and spoken to by the head of that department.

You cannot take your own photos and you have to wear closed in shoes. It was a real treat and very interesting (even for a female) hubby was more interested in how they dispose of their water and how they get fresh water.

It is worth it to see just what happens under our feet every day.

I will copy this as a new thread as well for others who may be interested.
