Luckygir15 Posted February 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2010 I'm planning on doing this excursion in about a month and I was wondering if I should bring a flashlight? I read that some of the headlamps were not very powerful. What are your thoughts?
GinDon Posted February 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2010 True, the headlamps aren't very powerful. I suspect their purpose is more so the guide can keep track of you. But, I wouldn't bother with a flashlight., I think it will just be something you have to keep track of, and it will probably get wet. Save your hands for a waterproof camera (preferably one with a flash). I tied a cord to mine, and wore it around my neck. Our guide had a very bright flashlight that he used when he wanted to show us some especially interesting spots on the cave ceilings, etc. Other than that, part of the fun is being in the dark!
