Coral sands beach

I just posted the comments below on another thread...we didn't have any drinks so I can't tell you if they were expensive or not but the price for lunch was $10.

"We were there last week. It's small (it's fairly new I think and still "under development") but it's very nice and it was very quiet when we were there - a nice place to relax for the day. The website (www.coralsandsbelize.com) gives you a pretty good picture of what it looks like. We had an excellent lunch...bbq chicken which was delicious, rice, coleslaw and a banana. There were kayaks to use and some people were snorkeling off the beach. We were there for about an hour because it was part of our snorkel tour with Belize Rays."

We had a great time with Belize Rays. They've got a huge catamaran with a shower, restroom, cash bar, free water and music. The crew was professional, organized and the snorkeling was great. There were no issues whatsover when it came to safety (I've read a number of posts about safety concerns with other operators). This was my first time snorkeling and I had a blast once I managed to get all the gear on (which seemed to be more of a challenge for me than anything else:D).

tanner2 - It's $45/pp. If you choose to go snorkeling you'll have about an hour to spend at Coral Sands. They stop at Coral Sands first to drop off those people who don't want to snorkel - those people probably have 2 hours at the beach because I think it was about an hour that we spent on the snorkel portion of the tour. Their website is www.belizerays.com.

tanner2 - I think that's about as long as you can stay because they have to work within the timeframes of when the ships are in port. Some ships come in late, some leave early so they have a limited amount of time they have to work with since they always have passengers from multiple ships. There's a water taxi at the pier but I don't think it goes to Coral Sands. You may want to start a new thread with this question - maybe you'll get some better info.
