zydecocruiser Posted January 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2005 I have not been. If you use Search on the Belize board you can find some info. On the resort/area: http://www.coralsandsbelize.com/
Jeanne B Posted January 28, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2005 I just posted the comments below on another thread...we didn't have any drinks so I can't tell you if they were expensive or not but the price for lunch was $10. "We were there last week. It's small (it's fairly new I think and still "under development") but it's very nice and it was very quiet when we were there - a nice place to relax for the day. The website (www.coralsandsbelize.com) gives you a pretty good picture of what it looks like. We had an excellent lunch...bbq chicken which was delicious, rice, coleslaw and a banana. There were kayaks to use and some people were snorkeling off the beach. We were there for about an hour because it was part of our snorkel tour with Belize Rays." columbusseminole Posted January 28, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2005 How was your experience with Belize Rays? We are scheduled with them in April.
Jeanne B Posted January 29, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2005 We had a great time with Belize Rays. They've got a huge catamaran with a shower, restroom, cash bar, free water and music. The crew was professional, organized and the snorkeling was great. There were no issues whatsover when it came to safety (I've read a number of posts about safety concerns with other operators). This was my first time snorkeling and I had a blast once I managed to get all the gear on (which seemed to be more of a challenge for me than anything else:D). tanner2 Posted January 30, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted January 30, 2005 how much was if for snorkling and the day at the beach?
Jeanne B Posted January 30, 2005 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2005 tanner2 - It's $45/pp. If you choose to go snorkeling you'll have about an hour to spend at Coral Sands. They stop at Coral Sands first to drop off those people who don't want to snorkel - those people probably have 2 hours at the beach because I think it was about an hour that we spent on the snorkel portion of the tour. Their website is www.belizerays.com.
tanner2 Posted January 30, 2005 Author #9 Share Posted January 30, 2005 jeanne Thank for your reply, is that as long a you can stay at the beach, 2 hours we would really like to stay maybe 4or 5 hours since the ship is there frim 9 to 6,
Jeanne B Posted January 31, 2005 #10 Share Posted January 31, 2005 tanner2 - I think that's about as long as you can stay because they have to work within the timeframes of when the ships are in port. Some ships come in late, some leave early so they have a limited amount of time they have to work with since they always have passengers from multiple ships. There's a water taxi at the pier but I don't think it goes to Coral Sands. You may want to start a new thread with this question - maybe you'll get some better info.
