Best way to get to the Mobile Airport?

Does anyone know the best way to get from the ship to the Mobile Airport? I was thinking about taking the Carnival Shuttle, but our flight leaves at 11:25 and herd that you have to wait for a shuttle to fill before it leaves.

 

Also, does anyone think that I will have a problem getting to the airport the recommended 2 hours before if our flight leaves at 11:25? There is another flight that leaves at 1:00 that goes through Atlanta (Never been to the airport and only has a 45 min layover) that I would rather avoid, but would consider if necessary. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You should be ok taking a taxi. If you have a group of four or more it might pay you to make a reservation ahead of time with Mobile Bay Transportation Co. Their phone num. is 251-633-5693 and their web address is www.mobilebaytransportation.com. You shouldn't have any problem getting to the airport in time for your flight. The recommended time here in Mobile is 90 mins. before your flight time.

So, you are saying that I should be ok booking the 11:25 a.m. flight? I'm just worried that there might be some sort of delay that may cause us to miss our flight. I am a first time cruiser, and never have been to Mobile, thus my worries. Thanks for the help!

You should be ok, but I would make sure that Carnival is aware of your flight time. They schedule the time you will be called to leave the ship in accordance to your flight schedule. It shouldn't take you more than 30 mins. to get to the airport and the ship arrives at 7:00 am.
