beaches and weather

Hi,

 

I will be sailing in on march 11th and was wondering if anyone new what the weather is usually like this time of year?

 

are there any good beaches in key west??

We went last year at the end of March. The air temps were in the high 70's low 80's. Sorry I don't know about the water we didn't do a water excursion.

The average water temps by month are about 3/4 the way down this page...

But I'm afraid that historical data will become less and less accurate as a guage to future air and water temps.

I'm really just agreeing with other posters.

 

We've been there in March several times and also found that highs were in the upper 70s/low 80s. My favorite KW beach is Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, which is about a 20 or so minute walk from the port (1/2 of which is inside the park after you pay).

How much is Fort Zachery and what does that include? Thank you.

I think the park's entry fee is now $2.50/person if you walk in and a little more if you drive. I don't think you have to pay more to tour the fort itself. You can rent beach chairs and there's a concession stand for food.
