new2cruising2006 Posted February 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2010 I was wondering if anyone knew if Shasa will take a walk on for their tour if they still have room? I have someone in my group who is not sure if they want to go and wants to wait to decide?
dk8649 Posted February 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Tell your person not to wait, just went on the tour with Shasa and had an excellent day. The surf was up that day so Captain Jason had the cab driver move us further down the beach so that we wouldn't have any issue getting on/off the boat. There were 12 in our group with 3 non-swimmers, the boat only hold 12 so it was just our group. Jason was excellent took us to the turtles and as soon as we got there 8-12 turtles arrived. He threw fish in the water and the turtles hung around for a good hour. Jason never rushed us once and actually encouraged everyone to sit in the sun and just relax. He provided us with free drinks (both rum punch and other non-alcoholic drinks). There was one person in our party who was not a good swimmer and a little nervous so Jason talked him into the water and swam with him the whole time. We then moved to a reef and thankfully Jason was with us as there was a line marking the swimming area for the beach and on that line was some type of sea junk that clung to the line and if you got into it it stung for hours, he held up the line so we could all go under, and unfortunately one of our party wasn't paying attention on the way back swam right into it, Jason had some balm that helped sooth it which he quickly provided. Two thumbs up for Shasa tours, don't hesitate.
