robseat Posted February 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2010 Is anybody on Royal right now (or recently enough to remember) who can tell me how high the bed's are? Specifically the distance from floor to top of mattress. If they are quite low I will need to bring my set of "bed risers" to make bed high enough to facilitate a transfer into a wheelchair. Sure would like to avoid taking up that space in my luggage. Anywhere from 24" to 27" would be OK. Once in the past (on the Grand I think) we had to ask for an extra mattress, but on recent Ruby cruise the bed was just right! Thanks!
Toto2Kansas Posted February 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2010 I don't know the bed height, but on the Pacific (sister ship) last time, our room steward put a 4" thick foam mattress pad on the bed which really raised up the height. If all else fails, asking your room steward for something like this might also assist in getting that bed to the height to make it easier for you. Good Luck!
