Need Portland Help

The downtown LL Bean Outlet is now closed. LL Bean campus is in Freeport which is about 20 minutes from the dock by car. This is the flagship store and is quite impressive. It is located in Freeport Village which has many outlet shops and restaurants.

You might be thinking of the outlet stores in Freeport, which is about 20 minutes north of Portland, by car. There are a lot of boutique-type shops in the Old Port area though, that you can walk to from the ship!

Royal Caribbean had a "tour" that was basically just a shuttle to Freeport when we were there 2 years ago. There is also info on a shuttle here: http://www.freeportusa.com. There are a lot of charming, unique shops in Portland and unless you just want to see the original LLBean, the shops are the same as other outlets across the US for the most part.

I live in the Greater Portland Area...

 

From the docks you are walking distance to anything in downtown. The Old Port - shopping and brew pubs and many eclectic places to eat.

 

LL Beans is a nice place 20+/- minutes away by car.

 

The Maine Mall thing - uh it's a mall - nothing spectacular at all.
