sticey@aol.com Posted January 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2005 We're cruising the Mercury to the Mexican Riviera in February/March 2005 and we're wondering which resort Celebrity uses for the "Resort Getaway Shore Excursion" in Manzanillo. Has anyone done this lately? If so, what did you think of it? We've tried calling and e-mailing Celebrity with this question, but so far have not received a response. L11 Posted January 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2005 I don't know what the excursion costs through Celebrity, but we had a great time making our own resort getaway in Manzanillo. We grabbed our towels and took a cab to the Las Hadas resort. Admission to the resort cost $25 pp, but they gave us coupons for that same amount to use for food or drinks. They have very comfortable loungers on a beautiful beach with snorkeling off to one side. It is right by the yacht basin and we got to see a real monster yacht dock (would love to know who it belonged to). They had a nice place for a light lunch on the beach. Beautiful resort!! There were about 20 other Celebrity passengers on the beach and about the same number from the resort itself, but it was not at all crowded. We shared a taxi back to the ship with another couple.
