To Tender or Not To Tender

When I cruised to Alaska on the Island in Sept 2007, we had to tender at Ketchikan port. Do you know if Princess is still tendering at Ketchikan or does it depend on how many ships are in port? Thank you.

depends on how many ships. I was in Ketchikan on the Coral last year and we docked. Then again it was the last southbound of the season and it was pretty quiet in most of our ports....

It all depends on the number of ships. Somewhere there is a list of where the ships are expected to be in Ketchikan as well as Juneau and Skagway.

As the others have said it really does depend on the number of ships in port. In August of 2007 we were on the Celebrity Mercury at Ketchikan and were tendered in, but the Mercury docked while we in town. Was a nice surprise to come back and find your ship at the dock.
