Carlisle Posted February 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Has anyone done the "Behind the Fun" Tour on Carnival Splendor? Is there a charge and if so, what and where does one sign up for the tour? How did you like it? Thanks.
WeBeGone Posted February 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2010 You should post this question on the Carnival board.
MedicKen Posted February 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2010 I did it on Carnival Pride. There is a charge of $95.95. Seems a bit steep for a 3 hour tour. But it is very comprehensive and you get a bunch of "goodies". You can't book it until you board and space is limited. They hold it the last sea day. As the above poster reccomended, go to Carnival board for more info.
Bonnie J. Posted February 23, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Sounded interesting but not for $95 each! There is a free galley tour which is interesting and about an hour. The Maitre'd explains how things work before you even get into the galley. It is held around 3pm the last day at sea.
yogi2929 Posted February 23, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 23, 2010 The BTS tour gets you onto the bridge, extended galley tour, engine control room, Crew area (not cabins), I95, theatre and other areas. Lots of walking up and down the narrow white staircases. The retail price of the goodies makes up the cost of the tour. On our Paradise tour ($55) we received a Bracelet, Hat, BTS tour lanyard, picture on the bridge with the captain and a plate of goodies from the Head Chef. We were led by the head trainer onboard and had a continental breakfast beforehand. It lasted about 3-3 1/2 hours. The larger ships tour cost more, but the tour goes to more places and there are more goodies.
