Taxi for Five?

This will probably seem like a silly question, but all the information that I have seen on this site, mentions what the taxi rates are to various places for 4 people. What do 5 people do? We are two adults, three children (16, 14, 10 small for their age) so we could fit into one taxi, but will they let us and just charge more? Also, we are arriving on Carnival Sensation - would we need to take a taxi to the downtown area for shopping or could we walk? Thanks for your help, this site is wonderful! Kia

Yes to everything. Yes you can squeeze five in a cab, yes they will charge you a bit more, and yes you need a taxi from the Puerta Maya pier, where the Sensation usually docks, to the downtown shopping area. The fare for 4 is $6, you'll probably pay $8 for the five of you.
