Cozumel Pier

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the info. Are there shops/restaurants in the area?

Tons, take the cab downtown and get off near the Ferry Terminal and start walking back towards the ship. You only need to walk a short distance and take a left hand turn and there is an area that is best described as a town square with all kinds of shopping and bars and restaurants. Cozemel is quite safe during the daytime as there are merchants everywhere and lots of Cops. We love it down there, we usually move 1-2 blocks in from the ocean and the discounts are crazy. Currently sales are way down and you can get most items for 25%-40% of whatever their regular price is. Part of the fun is the negotiation.

Have fun, you can do your own tour of downtown and only pay for the cab ride and no one will hassle you.

Mike
