loulani Posted February 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2010 I know the restaurants that require dinner reservations are La Terrazza, Le Champagne, Stars Supper Club, Seishin and Hot Rock (Pool Grill). I have heard that the second night of cruising is the first formal night which is the Captain's party. We are on a 7 night cruise. Would it be best to reserve one of the above restaurants or eat at The Restaurant that has open seating? Looking forward to your opinions. Thank you, Linda
unfathomable Posted February 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2010 It really depends on what you want. If you like the idea of dressing up, a slight sense of occasion and perhaps joining several others at a larger table, the restaurant may be for you. If that's not your idea of a good time and/or you'd prefer a quiet meal in a smaller venue with just the two of you, one of the other venues may be a better choice. Personally I like the restaurant on formal nights.
jerblu Posted March 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2010 Are you implying that the formal dress code applies only to the restaurant? That the rest of the public rooms are not affected by the dress code?
unfathomable Posted March 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2010 No, the dress code is as described by SS (though on formal nights, formal dress is not required in La Terrazza). I was attempting to describe the greater sense of occasion -- IMO -- in the restaurant.
