moopdog Posted February 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Going on the Gem on 3/20. I've seen many references to the fact that the ship can sometimes not stop at Great Stirrup Cay. If that is the case - when do they make that decision and share with the guests on board? Also, what do they usually do instead? I'm guessing 2 days at Nassau (at least for our intinerary), but that's just a guess. Thansk.
Planer's Edge Posted February 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2010 It will usually become a slow lazy day at sea. PE

pixiedustdawn Posted February 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2010 We couldn't get to GSC last week and Captain Frank announced that he called and got clearance to dock in Nassau overnight. The crew went crazy applauding. Everyone was able to come and go all night long as they pleased.

PE I am more than sure that they were happy about missing the island. We were in LeBistro when it was announced and the kitchen exploded with cheering and pots banging. We laughed and thought it was great they were so excited!
