Embarkation/Boarding.1700hrs is on our Documents and it is underlined no earlier. So does no mean no?(Blackend underlined and threatening????)

We are staying at the Raddisson and will obviously have to check out at noon.

It would be at least nice to get aboard earlier and go ashore again. What is there to see around the Pan American Pier?

Could all of you multi previous cruisers to San Juan/Celebrity have any very practical ideas?

We just came back from our cruise on the Constellation, and we also stayed at the Radisson Ambassador in Condado. Remember to use those rum drink coupons -- the frozen pina coladas are great!

A few restaurant ideas: The Yerba Buena restaurant on Ashford Ave. is a great place for dinner (authentic Latino food and very close to the hotel).

And if you walk down Ashford Street to the Latin Star cafe, you can get an ocean view and great inexpesive breakfast. Remember to order cafe con leche. It's great!

We checked out of our hotel and arrived at the Port by 11:30 a.m. We checked our luggage with Celebrity and entered the doors. We sat down for a few minutes, filled out some papers, checked in with the cruise and were on board 15 minutes later.

They already had champagne. Our room wasn't ready until 1 p.m., but we were able to get lunch and roam around the ship way before others came on board.

One thing, though, there is nothing at the pier. You have to take a taxi everywhere. Our plan was to leave the ship and take a taxi into Old San Juan for a few hours. But my family became so enamored with the boat, and around 1 p.m., it began pouring, so we just stayed on the ship, sat on our balcony, drank champagne and enjoyed the scenery.

It was a great way to start the cruise, especially after traveling the previous day.

I hope that helps!
