delphina1 Posted February 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2010 I was just wondering if anyone was on the 2-14-10 EOS. How were the seas leaving and coming back to bayonne?:)
rere827 Posted February 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2010 very smooth sailing on the way down and all through the cruise with the exception of the last day when we were coming back up the coast, although they did a great job sailing through the storm. aruvqan Posted March 1, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2010 thanks! do you know how high the sea swells were? friends of mine are trying to discourage me from sailing in the winter. Tell them to get stuffed, the Caribbean in Feb is the perfect break from cold! Honestly, on the 2/5 sailing, at one point we went through 122 mile per hour winds, and had no problem. I think the tv channel described the seas as moderate, 3 meter waves. Really, not a problem at all - nothing spilled or tipped over, nothing fell off tables and nobody fell out of bed =) I would say that if you were on board, and nobody told you that it was a cat 2 hurricane force wind, and that the waves were 3 meters you might think it was a bit rough but not a big deal at all.
