I would like to make a payment to have OBC for my March cruise.(Don't want to have sticker shock when I get my s&s bill) Is there a way to do this on the Carnival web site?

Thanks

Depending on when you are going..

You can do what I plan to do and that is buy Funship Dollars.

They have to be mailed in at least 2 weeks before the curise

(according to the instructions).

However many have said they take them on the ship and have them

credited there. I have also heard that you can have them just credited to

your cabin/acct when you purchase them, but I don't know if that is on

the phone or online.

I have until July, so I haven't gotten into too much detail yet.

Don't know if you can credit OBC ahead of the cruise or not, but another option would be to set the cash aside ahead of time in a separate envelope, then make a stop at the purser's desk as soon as you board the ship and credit your S&S account then. Same effect, and you don't have to be concerned that your OBC may not be waiting for you when you sail off.

Yep, you can. Go to the store, order Funship dollars. In the address line, enter your booking number and "to be used as on board credit" I also type this in the memo box as well.

You'll get an e-mail right away to confirm and then another one within 24 hours or so letting you know it was applied to OBC.

I did this on my February cruise. Just call the Bon Voyage department 800-906-7603 (8am-5:30pm ET) Tell them you would like to purchase funship dollars as ONBOARD CREDIT to be applied to your account for use on the ship. That way you will not have to have the funship dollars sent to you. It will take a few days to show up on your documents online. I think you have to do it at least 14 days ahead, but you would want to ask.

The fine print says you cannot use them for tips or casino, but we did use our sign and sail cards in the casino, and it worked just fine. We prepaid our tips, but others on these boards have said they apply to tips as well. We had some left on the last night, and we received a check for this difference on the morning we disembarked.

I hope this helps.

Is there a way to see the amount on your online documents that we have purchased?

The OBC will show up online on your documents after it has been applied to your account. I think it is page 6 or 7. It is on the page that lists your cruise totals, prepaid tips, total costs. It is right underneath the totals on a separate line.
