parisienneatheart Posted March 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2010 Hi, I noticed that on the eastern itinerary on Costa Atlantica that 5 ships are in port when in St. Thomas and one of the ships is the Oasis of the Seas. For anyone who has recently cruised this itinerary.....how difficult is it to get a private tour car/van on the actual day in port? I am thinking about doing my own driver/van and am wondering if I should book one prior to going on the cruise b/c of all of the people in port that day. Thanks! NoName Posted March 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2010 I just returned today from our cruise on the Atlantica. When we were in port in St. Thomas, there were 7!!!! ships in port (including the Oasis). I had looked it up in advance also and thought there would only be 5! We could not dock and had to tender in. (That stunk!). The taxi drivers were crabbing about the traffic, but there were hundreds of them lined up to take you where ever you wanted to go. We were offered tour after tour....... You won't have a problem. FYI-there were also 5 docked in Nassau with us as well. Busy....busy..... Kim
