Gingee Posted March 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Our daughter and her friend are flying back one day before us. My husband wants to take a taxi from San Monica with them and make sure they get in the right area for the airport. They are flying Delta. I know there was a good map somewhere that shows the different terminals but all I can find now is a map that says Terminal 1, Terminal 2, etc. Does anyone know of a site to get the exact names in the terminals? Thanks
jasmith52 Posted March 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Boy it looks like Delta is spread all over LAX As you can see from the map they are at: gates 9-11 in Terminal 1 gates 21-28 in terminal 2 gates 50-59 in terminal 5 gates 61-65, 68B in terminal 6 Delta terminals have the little blue airplanes near them You had better call the airline before you drop off the kinder. dunbawn Posted March 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Terminal 6 has been the main terminal for Delta. My husband used to work there.
Gingee Posted March 9, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted March 9, 2010 Thanks. It looks like terminal 7 on the ticket.
Gingee Posted March 9, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted March 9, 2010 I wonder if we are reading something wrong since the blue airplanes are not by terminal 7?
kenish Posted March 9, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2010 The terminal map posted above is out of date. Delta uses T5 for check-in. Your flight may use T6 but the check-in and ticketing lobby is common to both and the monitors will show the gate. T2 was used by Northwest, but after the merger they vacated it last summer. As you circle the loop road on either level, the airlines for each terminal are prominently shown. If you are in a van, limo, or rental car shuttle, the driver will ask which airline and will get you to the right place.
dunbawn Posted March 10, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Sorry I was wrong it is T5. I used to drop him off at T6 since there was less trafic and he would walk back. Got to love LAX.
