Transatlantic Repo. Cabins

Trimtime

Recommended Posts

Is it worth having a balcony cabin on a transatlantic cruise to the Caribbean in October. Wondered whether it will be warm enough to sit out after leaving Tenerife. Would we be better saving our money and just having an outside or even an obstructed view - most of the time all we anticipate being able to see is the sea!! Any views on this most welcome.

We are booked on Azura for October, we enjoyed the same cruise on Ventura in 2008 so much we decided to do it again. We had great weather on our last trip and really enjoyed our balcony. This time we've gone for one of the bigger balconies so we can stretch out a bit.

If you decide to book come over and join our roll call. Its rather quiet at the moment but should be busier closer to departure.

Most definitely worth having a balcony. We did Ventura Transatlantic in October and the weather was lovely even by the third sea day before reaching Tenerife. Make sure you book a Port side which will face south and therefore have sun all day all the way accross. There were a lot of moans from people who had not taken this into account and had 5 days shade!! Hope that helps.

Yes, have booked a cabin portside. Got caught out over this when we did the OV II repo to Singapore. Had a portside on that cruise but we were sailing west to east so didn't get the afternoon and evening sun on the balcony. You live and learn.:)
