Everlast Posted January 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2005 Hey all, On our last cruise we were looking to visit the salon for a massage but never made it. Does anyone happen to have or know the prices for the services on the Valor. My wife has behaved herself so far :D so i wanted to treat her to somthing nice. If you visited the salon did you find the services worth the price? What would you recommend / stay away from. Looking forward to your replies!!!! Everlast Posted January 23, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 23, 2005 Dayton Cruiser you rock.. did you try any of these? Were they worth the cash. Probably try them anyway but the info is great!!
pholter Posted January 24, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2005 I've done the facial twice and really enjoyed them both. Some ladies are prone to break out after them though.... My formal pictures were awesome after having a facial done. You can really tell the difference between the 2 nights of photos and my skin is pretty good to start with. It's very relaxing and you can get them cheaper at Day Spas locally, but it's a real treat on this ship to be pampered a bit.

alaskamt Posted February 11, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 11, 2005 Every time I go on a cruise, I start off with a seaweed detox wrap with a massage the first night. I figure then I have room to re-tox with the great drinks the rest of the cruise. The oxygen facial is great - guaranteed to not break you out and it doesn't. Only facial I have ever had that didn't. And the chakra balancing capsule is amazing. Total relaxation. I do this about every other day unless they have a special on it. I hope this helps. la_croisiere_s'amuse Posted February 11, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2005 Everlast, if price is an issue (is it ever NOT an issue? ;)) you might want to consider not booking your treatments right away. As the cruise goes on (especially if it's a 7 day or longer), they will start running all kinds of spa specials that reduce the price substantially, especially if you're willing to get something done on the last day. Another idea is to get something inexpensive done right away -- a pedicure or something like that -- and wait for the thank-you coupons that are delivered to your cabin the next day. Also, if you're at all interested, I HIGHLY recommend the couple's massage seminar. It was only $50, and DH and I enjoyed it even more than our $250 couple's massage! serene56 Posted February 11, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 11, 2005 We are cruising this weekend--woo hoo- My SO gave me funship dollars and a printout of what he wanted me to spend each certificate on. Somewhere on here he found the sheet of spa services. One certificate states to get my hair done for first formal night. and he included the prices and stuff for hair salon onboard. Another for a massage. another was for Nick & Noras.included a picture and the menu. (so all that sutff was prepaid- and I had time to decide what I want to get done. serene56 Posted February 11, 2005 #12 Share Posted February 11, 2005 The spa prices on Miracle are the same as any ship in the fleet. SO copied the page he found on Webshots. Its a page from the pride. http://community.webshots.com/photo/94939852kaktQn scoll to the bottom to view full size.
booboo4031 Posted February 22, 2005 #13 Share Posted February 22, 2005 One of the above posts talks about oxygen facials as an alterntive to regular facials to prevent breakouts. How are these different than regular facials? I've never heard of them and have been afraid to do a facial on the ships because of extremely sensitive skin.
