jamscckmc Posted March 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Can't find it now, but read somewhere on here that the water temps in May were too cold to swim. We will be on the Mariner May 23rd-30th, being in ports the 25-27th. Will we be able to get in the water? Thanks!
househunter Posted March 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I can only tell you about Cabo, there it will be chilly!!! The coldest water of the year is April-June when it gradually starts to warm up again with the warmest being in October. In May expect mid 60s- low 70s.

bigasufan Posted March 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I'm on that cruise too. I guess it's the beach only and shopping.
jamscckmc Posted March 16, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted March 16, 2010 Hopefully PV and Mazatlan will be a little warmer. Maybe the way to go is the all inclusives with pools or book a tour. Cold on board on sea days and cold water in ports. Usually I do a better job of researching before I book. At least we have a big fun group on board! badtwin Posted March 16, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2010 I just got back from a land based trip to Puerto Vallarta and found the water temperature acceptable for snorkeling. Maybe I am used to temperatures of more northern waters (Washington state) or maybe it gets colder in the next few months (?) but on this trip and a long ago trip to Mazatlan in April, I had no trouble enjoying the ocean.
