Quest

Recommended Posts

We're sailing on Oasis 5/29 and we would love to know from those that have already been if they do Quest in the ice skating rink covered. We have played this game on Mariner a few times and Liberty of the Seas and just think its a Blast. Also does anyone know who the cruise director is on Oasis and whe that person was before Oasis?

Thanks for the info we are really looking foward to this cruise. I think we had Ken Rush on the Liberty in summer 2008. My favorite Cruise Director of all the cruise I've been on is hands down "Becky" she was on the Mariner when it went out of Port Canaveral, I think she stays shoreside now, someone said she training new cruise directors for Celebrity but I don't know if that's true or not. She was hilarious, and always out amongst everyone at all times of the day, not just when she had something to MC, she was great, it's really too bad that she not on any RC ships anymore.

The Quest is a Crazy game which they tell you upfront is for adults. They get the whole audience involved by splitting into sections/teams. Then you pick team captians and they make you bring all kinds of things down to the front (lipstick, bras, underwear etc) and each team scores points according to who brings it down first. But its always the surprise ending that makes me laugh the most, but I don't want to tell you all of it you have to go it so you can laugh your head off. It's best on navigator, freedom and (assume) Oasis classes (any ship with an ice skating rink), we played it on the Jewel and it was no where near as much fun. As long as you don't think you'll get offended you have to go cause you will laugh until you have a pain in your stomach

Quest was a BIG highlight for us! I was a contestant, and I cant tell you how hard we laughed. Richard Spacey was our CD, and he did a unreal job with Quest! A not to be missed for us!

FYI: Be carefull on the floor over the ice rink, it can have a little condensation and get slick!

Just curious, what is the Quest?

It's just like LivetoCruise412 stated... but... it's done at 11:45 PM, it is for adults only, and most of those in there have had several drinks and "feelin' fine" and "ready to party". This is a BLAST, no other way to say it. We have been to several on several RCCL ships and almost anything can happen. Want to make your cruise memorable?? Go early and particpate! I dare YOU! Remember what goes on during a cruise stays on the cruise.... or is that Vegas... just as long as it does not show up on the Cruise in Review DVD.

You can but make sure you sit farther away from the stage. I always watch and never participate. Always have a great time. Normally it's held in Studio B so I sit about middle of the stands. I've also had it in the theater once so I sat in the balcony. If your near the front you will have to get involved because all of the items need to get up there and passed to your representative on the floor.

the quest is a highlight of the cruise for me. I typically give it my all to supply items that are needed, without being center stage. As was mentioned earlier, the quest in a Radiance class ship or smaller is not the same, but still a lot of fun
