crzgrl66 Posted March 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2010 My husband has trip insurance because he travels often, I do not. Can I purchase the RCCL insurance just for me or do we both have to buy it if we are in the same cabin?
Rosieo Posted March 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2010 When we purchased it (not through the cruiseline) I had to fill in the names of the people I was insuring. So you only have to insure who you want. Check out this site: http://www.insuremytrip.com/index.html?linkId=13470 You can compare policies on this site. cruiseco Posted March 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2010 make sure you aren't already covered under "family". Since she has no policy, being a family member or not makes no difference on a trip insurance policy -- if you're not specifically listed on the policy you can't file a claim. And the person who is on the policy can't file a claim for any losses sustained by the non-named traveler.
