jagoodbar Posted March 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2010 Anyone stayed at the Best Western Bayside in San Diego? About how far is it from the cruise pier.Thank you so much I just checked it our on Tripadvisor and the reviews are mixed. The location isn't too bad, only a few blocks from the cruise ship terminal. If you go to google maps and type in the address, you can see exactly where it is. Jon

dapaddo Posted March 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2010 Anyone stayed at the Best Western Bayside in San Diego? About how far is it from the cruise pier.Thank you so much We stayed there in Dec 08, It was nothing fancy but clean. I do remember that the heater made noise all night. Not sure if that kept us up or just the excitemnet of the cruise. I would stay there again but we got a better price at the Hampton.
LornaT Posted March 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2010 Have stayed there 5 times now and would not hesitate to stay again. Nice and recently remodeled, not 5 star but comfortable. If you get a Bay View Room you can watch the ship come into port that morning. They have a covered parking garage with a guard and you can leave your car while you cruise. They have a couple of vans for shuttle service (pier and airport) which will also bring you back to get your car if you leave it there. The Bayside Grill next door to the parking garage is open for Breakfast and Dinner only, does provide room service (awesome Hamburgers ... yum!) and part of the stay is a continental breakfast at the Bayside Grill, which when we were there last included scrambled eggs and potatoes along with cereal, juice, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc.
