Beach near-by the port?

We have booked the Stingray/Reef Snorkel through Soto's, so we don't plan on changing that, and we'd like to check out Margaritaville as our ages will be 22, 22, and 21 :rolleyes:. But we will be able to collect a small amount of sand from Cozumel, Roatan, and Belize, so we're wondering if there is a beach near the port or some sand that we could collect? Does anyone know, we appreciate your replys!
