Snorkel Question for Contact Lens User...

Hi - my boyfriend wears contacts and was wondering if it would be a problem snorkeling. Will water get thru the mask or are they good and tight? He has never done this before so doesn't have his own equip. or anything - he'll be using the tour company's.

Thanks!

I've found that the salt water doesn't bother my eyes at all while I'm wearing contacts than when I'm not - or at least much less. Being in the water also keeps my lenses from getting dry so I can wear them all day with no discomfort.

I wear disposables and usually trade them out after the cruise, but I don't wear contacts all the time. Usually just when I'm swimming or exercising. I actually first got them for snorkeling several years ago and found they were great! Now I need bifocals so I carry reading glasses to go with my contacts so I can read prices and menu's when I'm wearing them.
