dbcruzin Posted January 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2005 We are going to be in Cayman on March 22 and are renting a car. Is anything on the East End up and running. What about Rum Point? Are there any spots where we could park and snorkle out from the beach and actually see anything? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
Janett Posted January 26, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2005 I haven't been up that way for a while but as far as I know most of the facilities on the Eastern side of the island are still in process of reconstruction. However, Rum Point Beach (and Bar) has reopened and you should be able to snorkle from there.
dbcruzin Posted January 26, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 26, 2005 Is the snorkling any good from there?
cruislovin Posted January 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2005 Where is Rum Point? Do you have to rent a car to get there or can you take public transportation? What is there to do at Rum Point? Can you snorkel from the beach? How is the snorkeling? What are the water conditions usually like - easy swim, difficult swim, distance, water depth, etc.?
