NitPicky Question about Sky Suites on Mercury

Hello all,

I realize this a nit-picky question but one that has been bothering me.

We are a party of three sailing on the Mercury in a sky suite. From the pictures of the cabin, it looks like the sofa bed, when extended will block the balcony.

My husband and I were hoping to breakfast on the balcony while our daughter slept in on the sofa bed.

Is this possible? Will we (and more importantly the butler) be crawling over the sofa bed to get to the balcony? Or should we plan on waking her and moving her to our bed to continue her morning snooze?

Thanks everyone!

You are correct, the sofa does block the door to the balcony when it's opened.

yes that has been our experience, too although we were in a Cat 1 suite on the Galaxy which is almost identical to a SS on the inside. For us when the sofa bed was folded out to sleep our children, the sofa did not block the sliding door so much as it formed a wall with the regular bed that made it impossible to get to the sliding door which did not have anything in front of it.
